Pre-eclampsia and Cardiovascular Disease: From Pregnancy to Postpartum

چکیده
Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) complicate approximately 10% pregnancies. In addition to multiorgan manifestations related endothelial dysfunction, HDP confers an increased risk cardiovascular disease during delivery hospitalisation, such as heart failure, pulmonary oedema, acute MI and cerebrovascular events. However, the legacy extends beyond birth since these women are significantly more likely develop factors in immediate postnatal period major long term. The main mediator with a history is chronic hypertension, followed by obesity, hypercholesterolaemia diabetes. Therefore, optimising blood pressure levels from postpartum until first months postnatally could have beneficial effects on development hypertension improve long-term health. Peripartum screening based maternal demographic, clinical echocardiographic data help clinicians identify at highest developing who would benefit targeted primary prevention.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women in all countries. A history of pre-eclampsia, one of the most deadly hypertensive complicationsofpregnancy, increases cardiovascular riskby two to four times, which is comparablewith the risk induced bysmoking. متن کاملCalreticulin in human pregnancy and pre-eclampsia.
Pre-eclampsia is a disorder of human pregnancy that involves pregnancy-induced maternal hypertension and proteinuria. Evidence indicates that pre-eclampsia involves widespread activation of maternal endothelial cells. Calreticulin is a ubiquitously expressed, multi-functional protein that has been shown to have both pro- and anti-inflammatory effects on cultured endothelial cells in vitro and i...
